Speaking at a press conference, Szijjarto emphasized that the list of demands was aimed at returning the rights that the Hungarians of Transcarpathia had.

“Unfortunately, I must say that the response document received from the Ukrainian side does not contain any progress in this area,” RIA Novosti quotes Szijjarto as saying.

The head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry added that until Kyiv adopts the laws necessary to return the rights of the Hungarian national community, the conditions for the summit cannot be met.

At the end of January, Szijjarto said that there was still a long way to go before the meeting between Orban and Zelensky.

However, Budapest, according to him, is ready for joint efforts with Kiev in this direction.
