These images are said to show a Ukrainian attack with water drones on a Russian warship.
According to Ukrainian military intelligence, the corvette “Sergei Kotov” was sunk.
There were also deaths and injuries among the crew.
The attack occurred near the Kerch Strait.
The strait lies between the Russian-annexed Crimea and the Russian Taman Peninsula and connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Azov.
The information on the most recent incident cannot currently be independently verified.
The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on the report.
However, Russian military bloggers with close ties to the armed forces confirmed the attack.
These pictures of the “Sergei Kotov” are intended to show the ship in Novorossiysk on the Taman Peninsula in October 2021.
After the invasion of Ukraine began, Russia moved parts of its Black Sea Fleet there from the Sevastopol naval base in Crimea - to protect the warships from Ukrainian attacks.
In the past few months in particular, Ukraine's attacks at sea have continued to increase.
These recordings are said to show a drone attack from early February.
Even then, this information only came from the Ukrainian military.
But what should be clear is that the Black Sea and especially the Kerch Strait have long since become an important battlefield in the Ukrainian war.
