The Houthi group said that the United States and Britain launched five raids on Tuesday evening on Hodeidah Governorate, western Yemen, and at the same time announced that they had attacked two American destroyers in the Red Sea.

The group's Al-Masirah channel said in a brief breaking news story, "The American-British aggression targeted the Al-Jabanah area, west of the city of Hodeidah, with three raids."

She added in another breaking news that the American-British aggression targeted the Ras Issa area in Hodeidah Governorate with two raids.

Al-Hudaydah Governorate is considered one of the most important Yemeni governorates, as it contains 3 vital ports and camps, in addition to having a long coastal strip.

Al-Masirah Channel reported - on Monday evening - in breaking news that the United States and Britain launched 3 raids targeting the “Yasnam” area in the Baqim District in Saada Governorate in northern Yemen, which is the most prominent stronghold of the Houthis and is linked to a land border with Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, the Houthi group announced that it carried out a qualitative military operation on Tuesday, targeting two American destroyers in the Red Sea.

The movement added in a statement that it carried out a “specific operation” targeting “two American warship destroyers in the Red Sea” with a number of missiles and drones.

Support Gaza

Since the beginning of this year, the Washington-led coalition has launched raids that it says target Houthi sites in various regions of Yemen, in response to attacks launched by the group in the Red Sea, which it says only target ships heading to Israel.

Yesterday, Monday, the Houthis claimed responsibility for bombing an "Israeli ship" with missiles while it was sailing in the Arabian Sea.

In solidarity with Gaza - which is subjected to a devastating Israeli war with American support - over the past months, the Houthis have launched missiles and drones at Israeli cargo ships or those linked to them in the Red Sea.

With the intervention of Washington and London and the tensions taking a noticeable escalation last January, the Houthi group announced that it now considered all American and British ships among its military targets.
