A creative meeting with RT International presenter Rory Suchet took place on March 3 at the media stream site organized by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and Rosatom State Corporation.

Rory Suchet worked as a journalist and presenter in the USA for many years, but has been living in Moscow for 15 years and working for RT.

The presenter revealed the reasons for moving to Russia, talked about his career, and also shared his personal experience.

According to him, for him Russia has become a land of opportunity.

“I came to Russia and found journalistic freedom.

You live in an amazing country, although many do not realize it.

For me, Russia has become a country of opportunity,” the journalist concluded.

He also said that when he moved to Russia, he saw the inconsistency of all existing stereotypes about the country.

“Russians are very friendly, open, with a smile.

I fell in love with it because it showed me genuine love for others.

It doesn't matter what the media and Western politicians say.

We are all human and we want home, family, understanding and support,” he said.

Speaking about the differences between the media in Russia and the West, he noted that “in Russia there is no mainstream narrative, there is no need to pump up the audience and promote something.”

“I was able to say things on RT that I could never say on CNN,” Rory Suchet said.

Following the meeting, festival participants asked Rory Suchet questions that interested them.
