“We have not yet left the CSTO,” RIA Novosti quotes him.

Asryan added that the consequences of Armenia’s withdrawal from the organization are a state secret.

The Kremlin previously noted that Russia does not have clarity regarding Armenia’s statement about freezing membership in the CSTO.

According to the Prime Minister of the Republic Nikol Pashinyan, the actual freezing of the republic’s participation in the CSTO means the absence of a permanent representative and the country’s non-participation in the organization’s events at high and senior levels.

He threatened that Armenia would de jure freeze membership in the organization if the association did not fulfill its obligations.

At the same time, Pashinyan noted that Armenia did not expect military intervention from the CSTO in the conflict with Azerbaijan - Yerevan required the political position of the organization.
