The member countries of the association have handed over 350 thousand shells to Kyiv since February 2023.

According to Borrell, an additional batch of shells produced by European industry will be delivered to Ukraine.

“We expect to produce and deliver about 250 thousand more shells to Ukraine by the end of this month through joint orders from European industry,” TASS quotes Borrell as saying.

Also during a press conference in Brussels, Borrell said that EU countries spent €58 billion on weapons purchases in 2023.
