“A Ukrainian citizen was detained in Lugansk, providing financial support to the Azov nationalist regiment banned in Russia,” the message says.
According to the investigation, the man transferred funds to Azov members at least eight times using a mobile platform from February to November 2023.
A criminal case has been initiated under the article on the financing of terrorism.
Earlier, the Central District Military Court in Yekaterinburg sentenced a resident of the Chelyabinsk region to 13 years in a maximum security colony for high treason and calls for terrorism.
