Korchunov explained that each working group works according to its own plan, and preparing meetings of general meetings of groups involves agreeing on the agenda and dates for their holding.

“Decisions are made by consensus.

It can be assumed that the first meetings will take place this spring,” the agency’s interlocutor said. 

Previously, Russia suspended the payment of annual contributions to the Arctic Council.

At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the question of the country’s possible withdrawal from the Arctic Council is not currently raised.
