Republican primaries in the United States: in Washington, anti-Trump Republicans are not running through the streets

Before the many states which vote on Tuesday March 5 for Super Tuesday, the Republicans in Washington are voting throughout this weekend to nominate their candidate for the presidential election.

Not necessarily like those in the rest of the country.

In the District of Columbia, Republicans are so few in number that they have only one polling station, set up for three days in a large downtown hotel.

This is where Nikki Haley,

Donald Trump

's latest opponent , came to meet local voters, explaining that with the former president, defeat is assured.

The success was immediate and among the people who applauded was Kris Persinger, who works in finance and who was nevertheless not a regular.

These anti-Trump Republicans are clearly in the minority in the party.
