The sub-prefect of Moselle, Jacqueline Mercury-Giorgetti was injured Friday evening in Metz during a refusal to comply.

While she was in the car with a crew from the Specialized Field Brigade, they attempted to stop a vehicle registered in the file of reported objects and vehicles.

Wanting to flee, the driver hit their vehicle, in which the sub-prefect was located, who suffered a slight head injury.

As the crew closed in on him, the driver shifted into reverse and hit the squad vehicle.

A police officer also injured

The deputy, who remained in the vehicle, was then injured when she hit the front seat.

She suffers from a slight head trauma and neck pain.

A police officer stationed at the front of the vehicle was also hit by the driver as he fled.

He was slightly injured in his right arm and one leg. 

Fleeing by car, the suspect was finally blocked by BAC police officers.

He also hit their vehicle and tried to flee on foot, before being caught and arrested.
