The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said on Friday that the Israeli occupation forces in Gaza ran over the body of a young Palestinian man with a tank or bulldozer.

The man is believed to have been in Israeli custody at the time or recently.

It is not clear whether he was alive or dead at the time he was run over.

The human rights group published photos of the body after the accident, which occurred last Thursday in the Al-Zaytoun area on Salah al-Din Road near the Al-Najma factory south of Gaza City, and they were reviewed by the British website Middle East Eye.

The pictures show the victim's body completely crushed, beyond recognition.

A plastic band can be seen on the remaining hand, equipment commonly used by Israeli forces in Gaza to detain Palestinians.

Observatory spokesman Muhammad Shehadeh said on the X website that witnesses told the group that Israeli forces arrested the man and interrogated him “before he was run over by an armored vehicle.”

The Israeli army told Middle East Eye that it was "verifying" the incident.

The head of the human rights group, Rami Abdo, told the website that they believe that Israeli tanks ran over thousands of Palestinians.

He added that most of them are located in northern Gaza, in places such as Beit Lahia, Beit Hanoun and Al-Zaytoun, and along the Al-Rashid coastal road through which the Palestinians fled.

He also said that "Israel's brutality in this war has no limits."

Abdo continued, "The Israeli leaders themselves have adopted a strategy of demonizing the Palestinians and stripping them of their humanity, which means that even burning them alive is permissible. You see, even the Israeli soldiers compete with each other to publish stories on social media about the level of brutality with which they delight in harming the Palestinians." ".

The British website pointed out that the far-right Israeli Telegram channels praised the pictures of the crushed man in Gaza.

“This shows that they even celebrate the violations and crimes committed by their soldiers,” Abdo commented.
