During this period, a series of activities such as cheongsam exhibitions, cheongsam shows, cheongsam cultural lectures, cheongsam-themed photography, and cheongsam production workshop experiences will be held.
As a unique national costume of China, the cheongsam has unique charm in the history of modern world clothing culture and is known as the quintessence of China and the national costume of women.
In recent years, through many activities such as cheongsam art exhibitions and design competitions, cheongsam has become the aesthetic interest of the people in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
"We hope that by holding the Cheongsam Culture Week event, we will use the Cheongsam culture as a link to display traditional cultural products related to the Cheongsam so that more people can understand the connotation and value of the Cheongsam culture." said Zhou Jian, President of the Guangdong Provincial Cheongsam Culture Promotion Association, This event will highlight the contemporary style of women in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and promote cultural exchanges and cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through the exchange of cheongsam art.
According to reports, the Cheongsam Culture Week event is jointly sponsored by the Cultural Communication Committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Cooperation Promotion Association and the Guangdong Cheongsam Culture Promotion Association. A series of selection activities will be carried out in cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Liang Wanmei, head of the Guangzhou Tianhe District Cheongsam Culture Week Organizing Committee, said, “We will go into communities and schools and hold multiple activities to attract more cheongsam lovers to participate. We look forward to the widespread spread of cheongsam culture in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. and develop, inherit and carry forward China’s excellent traditional culture.”
At the launch ceremony, a wonderful performance of the "Cheongsam Cultural Festival" was also held.
The Guangdong Cheongsam Culture and Art Troupe performs "Wishful Kapok Red", showing a poetic cheongsam with fashionable design. The performers sing and dance with the heroic kapok in hand, vividly showing the graceful beauty of the East and the spirit of the times.
