The press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense on the morning of March 1 announced the suppression of a night attempt by the Kyiv regime to carry out terrorist attacks using aircraft-type drones.

“Duty air defense systems destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle over the territory of the Belgorod region, three UAVs were intercepted over the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region,” the department said in a statement.

The mayor of Dzerzhinsk (Nizhny Novgorod region) Ivan Noskov said that the UAV attack was suppressed by electronic warfare equipment over the industrial zone.

“There are no casualties or damage, emergency services are on the scene.

Industrial facilities are operating as normal,” Noskov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on his Telegram channel that, according to preliminary data, as a result of the incident with the UAV, no injuries or damage were detected.

In addition, on the evening of February 29, the Ministry of Defense announced the destruction of a Ukrainian UAV over the territory of the Kursk region.

During the day on February 29, it was also reported that other attacks using drones had been thwarted against targets in the Belgorod and Kursk regions, as well as in Crimea.

Also on russian.rt.com, the Russian Armed Forces destroyed an ammunition depot, a fuel and lubricants storage facility and a UAV manufacturing warehouse

Along with this, on the evening of February 29, the Voronezh City Hall reported that the movement of five drones towards the city was recorded.

It was subsequently reported that the UAVs did not cross the borders of the region.

Ukrainian troops systematically carry out attacks on Russian border regions.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, previously noted that against the backdrop of the loss of Avdeevka, the Kiev regime continues to take out its anger on Russian civilians.

“At the same time, he is actively using weapons supplied by the West to shell Russian populated areas and carry out terrorist attacks,” Zakharova said during a briefing on February 28.

In particular, on February 19, the DPR reported the interception of a British Banshee Jet-80 kamikaze jet drone, which was supposed to hit a civilian target in Mariupol.

As the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin reported then, after a controlled landing of the drone, explosives technicians neutralized the warhead in the form of 7 kg of explosives and destroyed the charge on the spot.

As Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador of the Russian Foreign Ministry on special assignments for crimes of the Kyiv regime, said, since the beginning of 2024, more than 100 civilians have suffered from Ukrainian drone strikes.

“Kyiv is increasingly using drone drops or kamikaze drones to openly hunt civilians.

Since January 1, 2024, more than 100 civilians have already suffered from drone strikes,” RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

According to him, the Ukrainian military is aware of who is being attacked.

As Miroshnik noted, the Ukrainian Armed Forces use drones to attack old people, children, and women.

In addition, repairmen, rescuers, and utility specialists became targets for Ukrainian militants.

The representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also noted that Kyiv uses prohibited cluster munitions and ignores the convention banning anti-personnel mines, which, according to Miroshnik, “are literally being thrown into the territories of Donbass and Zaporozhye by the thousands.”

“With such actions they only demonstrate their bestial grin and, in the absence of victories on the battlefield, feed their radicals with the blood of civilians.

But these crimes will have to be answered, and answered in full,” he concluded.
