Al Jazeera's correspondent said that Israeli occupation army aircraft launched raids on the town of Aita al-Shaab and Jabal Balat in southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah announced the downing of an Israeli drone in Wadi al-Uzziya.

The National News Agency in Lebanon reported that the Israeli occupation army intensified its attacks since last night, and raided Mount Labouneh and the outskirts of the town of Naqoura. Sounds of explosions were also heard in the city of Tyre, and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) sounded its sirens, in conjunction with the Israeli bombing. .

The occupation army continued to fire flare bombs over the villages adjacent to the Blue Line at night, in addition to incendiary bombs on the forests adjacent to the Blue Line opposite the towns of Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab, and reconnaissance aircraft intensified their flights over the districts of Tire and Bint Jbeil.

For its part, Lebanese Hezbollah said that it "shot down today, Friday, an Israeli enemy drone in Wadi al-Azziyah in southern Lebanon."

It won't be a picnic

On the political level, Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib told Al Jazeera on Friday that “any Israeli attack on our lands will not be a picnic, and will lead to a regional war.”

He added, "International delegates conveyed to us Israel's threat, and our response was to withdraw from our lands."

The Lebanese minister continued, "We want peace on the borders, and we are ready for war if it is imposed on us," and said that the government "is consulting with Hezbollah, and the consultation is binding and does not mean there is a final decision."

Bouhabib stated that Hezbollah and the Houthis announced that they would stop the attacks if Israel stopped the war on Gaza.

He said, "We want a complete solution with Israel on the issue of the border between us," noting that "what matters to Israel is the return of residents to the areas from which they were displaced in the north."

In light of the devastating Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon exchange daily bombardments with the Israeli occupation army, resulting in deaths and injuries on both sides, in addition to casualties among Lebanese civilians.

The Israeli occupation army escalated the intensity of aerial and artillery bombardment on towns and villages in southern Lebanon, and expanded its military targeting of Baalbek in eastern Lebanon, Jadra in Mount Lebanon Governorate, and the southern suburb of Beirut, which resulted in deaths and injuries among civilians, and forced hundreds of families to flee their homes.
