The Place de l'Etoile in the morning, the Palace of Versailles in the afternoon.

The farmers of the Rural Coordination chose symbolic places to demonstrate with their 15 tractors.

This Friday evening, they were trying to reach the Agricultural Show.

Europe 1 was at the heart of this convoy.

After demonstrating on the Place de l'Etoile and in front of the Château de Versailles this Friday, farmers from the Rural Coordination wanted to go to the Salon de l'Agriculture, behind the wheels of their tractors, before finally being prevented by the police and BRAV-M bikers, called in for reinforcement.

For long minutes, they even remained stuck in a tunnel near the Porte d'Auteuil.

The farmers do not intend to stop there

The situation got a little tense.

So the leaders of the movement decided to abandon their plan to go to Porte de Versailles: "We blocked the convoy because we wanted to go to the Salon de l'Agriculture. They refuse us. So, we are going to let the convoy leave again. because you never know if there is a problem behind it,” explains Cyril Hoffmann, president of the Côte-d’Or Rural Coordination.

Much incomprehension and disappointment for the farmers who accompanied the departure of motorists and two-wheelers, until then stuck in a concert of horns.

But the farmers do not intend to stop there and are considering new actions in Paris or in the region in the coming weeks.

They are no longer motivated by the same reason to demonstrate in Brussels and Strasbourg to put pressure on the European Union.
