Kemi Seba could have his French nationality revoked.

This is what the Franco-Beninese pan-Africanist with 1.3 million subscribers on Facebook said on February 29, 2024, who distributed the letter received from the French authorities.

Information confirmed to RFI by the Ministry of the Interior.

Kemi Seba is accused of taking hostile positions against France.

It is a two-page document, signed by the deputy director of access to French nationality, Cédric Debons: in this letter dated February 9, 2024, Kemi Seba, who has been living in Benin for several years, is notified that his actions stirred up anti-French sentiment throughout West Africa.

“

Outrageous messages

The letter emphasizes the social networks that the pan-Africanist uses to “

spread outrageous messages against France, its representatives and its military forces

 ”.

Kemi Seba notably accuses France of neocolonialism towards Africa.

For the French Ministry of the Interior, this is a clear disloyalty towards France.

“

Colonial War

 ”

Franco-Beninese, Kemi Seba could therefore be stripped of his French nationality without becoming stateless.

It will be up to the Council of State to decide.

For his part, the main person concerned has already reacted strongly on X, comparing this letter to a “

huge war decoration

 ” before specifying: “

You have started a colonial war and believe me, you will not win it.

You came across the wrong black.
