A 32-year-old young man has been arrested after

starting a fire in his home

, where he lived with his family.

These events took place on February 13 in Alcalá de Henares.

As investigation sources point out to this newspaper, the alleged perpetrator would have started the fire in the living room (he was sleeping on the sofa), previously blocking all the doors and exits of the house.

He fled through a window, but

left his father, mother and brother inside it

.

The balance of this event could have been tragic.

The relatives woke up at dawn

alerted by the smell of smoke

, and were able to escape from the building, which was a ground floor, also through a window.

Only the dog died.

The quick action of the Firefighters ensured that the fire did not get any worse.

The residents of the upper floors

were initially confined

and, after extinguishing it, the property was ventilated and safety measurements were carried out.

Likewise, the three family members had to be transferred to different hospitals due to smoke inhalation.

The father, 65 years old,

also suffered minor burns

and was taken to La Paz Hospital.

For their part, the woman, 54, and the other son, 28, were admitted to the Príncipe de Asturias Hospital.

In addition, Summa 112 also had to care

for two other neighbors

, although they were discharged

on site

.

The house was practically destroyed.

But between black walls, and charred cabinets, tables and belongings, agents from the National Police Scientific soon determined that

the flames had been caused,

as there were no fortuitous elements that would have given rise to this event.

Since that same day,

a search warrant was issued.

He has finally been found by a Civil Guard patrol in the small Madrid town of Corpa.

He has been arrested for

attempted murder, arson, serious threats and animal abuse

.

After being brought to justice, the magistrate sent him to prison.
