At the Economic and Fiscal Policy Council, Prime Minister Kishida instructed relevant ministers to compile a policy package for the next three years or so, with the aim of overcoming the declining birthrate, aging population, and population decline.

At the meeting held on the 29th at the Prime Minister's Office, opinions were exchanged regarding issues related to compiling the ``Substantive Policies'' for economic and fiscal management, etc., which are formulated around June every year.

In this regard, Prime Minister Kishida stated, ``In order to overcome the declining birthrate, aging population, and population decline, and to build an economic society where the people can feel rich and happy, we must improve productivity, expand labor participation, and lower the birth rate.'' It is necessary to respond structurally to such improvements."

Based on this, we aim to carry out system reforms by 2030, when the population decline will become serious, by strengthening the competitiveness of cutting-edge technology, achieving the medium- to long-term goal of ``desired birth rate,'' and strengthening fiscal and social security systems. We have instructed relevant ministers to compile a policy package for the next three years that will address these issues and incorporate it into this year's ``substantive policy.''
