The Ministry of Defense has activated the intervention of the

Military Emergency Unit (UME)

to prevent the effects of the flooding of the Ebro River in the municipality of

Novillas (Zaragoza)

The Government of Aragon has requested Defense, through the Government Delegation of Spain, for the help of the UME by decreeing level 2 of emergency due to the flooding of the Ebro.

Specifically, the UME troops have been working since 9:30 p.m. this Wednesday, February 28, in the municipality of Novillas (Zaragoza) to prevent the adverse effects of the flood from affecting the town.
