Koldo's plot also tried to obtain the help of the PP.

This is confirmed by the summary of the case, which

began to reveal exclusively this Thursday.

According to the wiretaps, Koldo tells

Cueto

, the key businessman in the plot: "I have met at 10:15 in Genoa, okay?"

Cueto gives him credibility.

In fact, in a later conversation with

Íñigo Rotaeche

, he tells him about Koldo: "I was going to be with them at the party headquarters and such."

From both phrases, the researchers conclude the obvious: "Koldo could be referring to the headquarters of the Popular Party."

It would seem definitive, but there is a caveat in the summary: in the following paragraph, the Civil Guard adds: "This fact, of the operational activity carried out by this Unit on the investigated Koldo, has not been able to be verified."

The agents who followed Koldo García confirmed that he did not go to Génova, 13, at any time during the entire monitoring of him, which was continuous and at all hours.

That is, the personal contact with the PP, which Koldo promised Cueto in his efforts to avoid the Balearic Government's claim for the defective package of masks, would not have occurred.

At least in those days.

Because the investigators do not completely deny that these conversations could have taken place between the former advisor of José Luis Ábalos with officials from the PP, the party now in the Government of the Balearic Islands.

In fact, the investigators, after emphasizing that the meeting in Genoa "could not be verified", add: "Although it is worth remembering that Koldo already told Cueto - conversation on December 2, 2023 - in relation to the efforts to resolve the issue of the claim from the Balearic Islands to Soluciones de Gestión [Cueto's company that contracted in the pandemic for more than 50 million with PSOE administrations], which had been left with Miguel Tellado, current member of the Congress of Deputies for the PP ".

That is, the current parliamentary spokesperson for the popular party.

There is also no evidence in the summary of that alleged contact in December "with Tellado" nor is there evidence of the fiancé "in Genoa" on January 10.

In fact, as this newspaper has been able to verify, Miguel Tellado was in a plenary session of Congress (which was held for construction at the Senate headquarters) at 10:15 a.m. on January 10.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo was also there.

And this information is important because Koldo García also speaks of an "Alberto" of the PP.

In the conversation on December 2, he says he contacted him, in addition to Tellado.

"We have arranged to meet Miguel tomorrow, okay, with Miguel Tellado," García tells Cueto, so that the Popular Party's spokesperson can help them arrange a meeting with the Balearic administration.

He goes so far as to say: «

"We are asking for the meeting through Alberto [the investigators do not identify who it would be] and Miguel." Tellado, current spokesperson for the PP, when asked by this newspaper, denies having had any conversation with Koldo García.

On the day in which the plot places the hypothetical first meeting between Koldo García and Tellado, all the leaders of the PP are in a protest against the amnesty in the Temple of Debod, in Madrid.

Then, Tellado, recently appointed speaker in Congress, locked himself in his office to prepare the new organizational chart of the parliamentary group that he now leads.

The revelations in the summary about what happens a month later, on January 10, are key.

Although Koldo supposedly had a meeting "in Genoa", "it could not be verified" and the alleged link was elsewhere.

However, what occurred at the end of that day, and is graphically documented, is a meeting between Koldo and José Luis Ábalos at the La Chalana restaurant in Madrid.

That quote had been advanced by Koldo to Cueto in a conversation on January 9.

In that call, Cueto asks: "Are you going to tell him anything before you leave?"

and Koldo tells the businessman that he would have showered him with commissions: "Yes, yes... tomorrow yes... that's one of the things."

The investigators conclude that they are referring to "a third party" who "the operational activity" of the UCO will prove to be Ábalos.

That January 10, the agents followed up Koldo in detail in Madrid.

At 8:35 a.m., "this Unit observed Koldo's arrival at the Chamartín train station," can be read in the case summary.

"Once there, businessman Ignacio Arjona Morell picked him up in the Audi Q8 vehicle. Subsequently, both held a meeting at the Gallofa&Co cafeteria located on Paseo de la Habana (...) where they remained together from 9:10 a.m. to 9:43 a.m. ".

There is graphic proof of those moments, which would be just before the supposed meeting in Genoa, at 10:15.

But Koldo's next reported appearance is not at the PP headquarters, but in La Chalana.

There, between 12:52 and 1:29 p.m. and between 8:20 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., he meets with Rodríguez García.

There is also documentary evidence.

And Sonora, where Koldo estimates the profit from Cueto's businesses in the pandemic at "20 million", "the contracts investigated", reaffirms the Civil Guard.

That January 10, Koldo leaves La Chalana at 4:32 p.m. "to head on the Suzuki AN400 motorcycle" to Conde de Xiquena Street in Madrid, where he will meet Pombo, another person involved, with whom a day later he will travel to South America.

"At 5:20 p.m., Koldo left the property in question to return to La Chalana on his motorcycle."

There he continues his meetings, one of them, at 6:47 p.m., with Ignacio Díaz Tapia, Aldama's liaison, another crucial businessman in the corrupt structure.

He also took photos of them.

"It is worth mentioning that as of 8:04 p.m., Cruz Guijarro Herrero - Pombo's partner - joined this meeting."

And this day of frenzy of meetings, a week after the claim by the Balearic authorities expired, led to a meeting between Koldo and his "former boss", whom he referred to several times, according to the summary.

Between 9:15 p.m. and approximately 10:20 p.m. they are seen in a booth at the La Chalana seafood restaurant, owned by the aforementioned Aldama.

The investigators say: "This meeting is of special interest for the facts under investigation given the telephone conversation held the previous day between Cueto and Koldo.

It should be remembered that Cueto asked Koldo to say something to a third party before he left for Peru on January 11 (...) to resolve the 2.6 million claim made [by the Balearic Government] to Management Solutions".
