At a joint press conference that followed, Australian Prime Minister Albany Gee welcomed the opportunity and said, ``We will work even more closely to promote a shared vision for the region.'' The two countries will seek maritime cooperation to stabilize the South China Sea. We have agreed to a further deepening agreement.



The two countries entered into a strategic partnership last year and are rapidly deepening security cooperation, including conducting joint military patrols in the South China Sea for the first time.
