Life imprisonment with a security sentence of 22 years was requested Thursday against Ilias Akoudad, who confessed to having killed brigadier Eric Masson in May 2021 in Avignon, while maintaining not having realized that he was a police officer.

Life imprisonment with a security sentence of 22 years was requested Thursday against Ilias Akoudad, who confessed to having killed brigadier Eric Masson in May 2021 in Avignon, while maintaining not having realized that he was a police officer.

“Eric Masson was executed without warning by an individual drunk with violence, proud of the gesture accomplished,” said the attorney general, Florence Galtier, according to whom the partial confessions of the main accused at the hearing were “perfectly orchestrated”.
