Monitoring data shows that during this year’s Spring Festival holiday (February 10-17), the average daily traffic of new energy vehicles on highways across the country was 5.9392 million vehicles, accounting for 10.04% of the total daily average traffic. Compared with the same period in 2023 (daily average of 1.7169 million vehicles, Accounting for 3.81%) increased significantly.

At the same time, the Ministry of Transport has also noticed that problems such as insufficient charging infrastructure, uneven development, and insufficient utilization in some areas still exist.

  This year, the Ministry of Transport will continue to guide various localities to strengthen cooperation with relevant enterprises, increase construction efforts, optimize layout, density settings, and continue to promote the construction of charging infrastructure along highways. It plans to add 3,000 charging piles and 5,000 charging parking spaces in highway service areas. and encourage the construction of ultra-fast charging and high-power charging facilities in service areas.

At the same time, according to the characteristics of traffic flow in different regions and different time periods during holidays, localities are guided to provide targeted service guarantee measures.
