At the House of Representatives Budget Committee's Board of Directors meeting, Liberal Democratic Party Chairman Onodera decided ex officio to vote on the new fiscal year budget after intensive deliberations and closing questions were held at the committee on March 1st.

The House of Representatives Budget Committee, which is deliberating the new fiscal year budget bill, held a central public hearing on the 29th, which is a prerequisite for a vote.

Afterwards, at the evening board meeting, the ruling party held intensive deliberations and closing questions on March 1st in order to ensure the passage of the budget bill, which includes contingency funds to respond to the Noto Peninsula earthquake, by the end of the fiscal year. After that, I proposed a new schedule for the committee and plenary session to vote on.

In response, the opposition parties opposed the proposal, claiming that it had not been thoroughly deliberated, and did not come to terms with it.

For this reason, Liberal Democratic Party Chairman Onodera decided ex officio to hold a vote on the bill after intensive deliberations and closing questions at the committee on March 1, as proposed by the ruling party.

The ruling party hopes to vote on the bill at the plenary session following the committee on March 1st, and pass it through the House of Representatives.

The opposition parties are strongly objecting to the move, and the heads of the parliamentary task force from four parties, including the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan, are hurriedly meeting to discuss how to respond.
