Report from our newspaper, Macau, February 28 (Reporter Fu Zimei) About 50 high school students from 28 middle schools in Hong Kong recently participated in the first "Unlocking Macau: Student Discovery Tour 2023-2024" study tour group. The students visited the ruins of the old city wall, Visit the Nezha Temple, Ruins of St. Paul's, Macau Museum, Fortress, Macau Tea Culture Center and Macau Grand Prix Museum to learn about the history and culture of Macau.

  "Unlocking Macau: Students' Discovery Tour 2023-2024" study tour is a project of the Macau SAR Government Tourism Office and Hong Kong media to promote Macau to Hong Kong secondary school students. It includes three parts: essay solicitation, study tour, and publication of selected articles.

Through the collection of essays, Hong Kong middle school students share their personal experiences related to Macau and their expectations for the study tour. Shortlisted students can participate in the Macau study tour. Selected articles written by students will be published after the trip, so that Hong Kong high school students from grade one to grade three can understand the richness of Macao. With its history and vibrant culture, it will further expand Hong Kong’s young tourist market, promote Macao’s “tourism + learning”, and help promote the diversified development of Macao’s tourist base.

  It is reported that in 2023, the Macau SAR Government Tourism Office jointly launched related activities with Hong Kong Metro Radio and "Metro Education +". A total of about 60 teachers and students from 10 middle schools in Hong Kong participated in a two-day and one-night study tour experience in Macao. The production of Macao The cultural and study tour experience videos have continued and expanded the promotional effect of Macao’s study tour resources among Hong Kong youth, students and parents.
