The Lebanese Hezbollah announced on Thursday that it had targeted the Israeli "Jal al-Alam" military site, causing direct casualties, while the occupation army confirmed the firing of about 10 missiles at its site in Ras al-Naqoura in the Upper Galilee of southern Lebanon, amid its continued bombing of southern towns.

The party said - in a statement - that its members fired artillery at Israeli soldiers in the military vicinity of Jal al-Alam.

Al Jazeera's correspondent confirmed the launching of missiles from southern Lebanon towards the Ramtha site and the Zabdin barracks in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa Farms.

The Lebanese News Agency also announced that Israeli aircraft bombed the outskirts of the towns of Al-Jabain and Beit Lev and the area between the towns of Labouneh and Jabal Balat in southern Lebanon.

For its part, Israeli Army Radio said that 10 missiles were fired from southern Lebanon at a military site in the Ras Naqoura area in the Western Galilee.

Israeli Army Radio did not explain the damage resulting from this bombing.

Effects of destruction after Israel bombed homes in the town of Kafra, south of Lebanon (French)

This comes after the Civil Defense announced yesterday, Wednesday, that an elderly man and his wife were killed in an Israeli raid on the town of Kafra in the central sector of southern Lebanon.

The Lebanese News Agency said that two raids followed the first raid on the town, wounding about 14 people and causing damage to homes and infrastructure.

The Israeli army spokesman reported that warplanes bombed what he described as Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the Kafra and Siddiqin areas in southern Lebanon, according to his description.

In light of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, since October 8, the Israeli-Lebanese border has witnessed an exchange of fire between the Israeli army on the one hand, and Hezbollah and Palestinian factions on the other hand.

Recently, threats have escalated from Israeli officials to expand attacks on Lebanese territory unless Hezbollah fighters withdraw away from the border in northern Israel.
