According to the deputy, it was planned that the minimum wage would increase to approximately 30 thousand rubles, however, the president, as always, “gave a tougher, more complex task.”

“This task is ambitious, but I am sure that it will be completed; today the minimum wage is more than 19 thousand rubles,” the parliamentarian indicated.

This, as the deputy noted, entailed an increase in wages not only for those Russians who receive the minimum wage.

“But in fact, the wage systems were revised, because the differentiation between the first and second category, between tariff scales, should not be too small,” Bessarab explained.

RT’s interlocutor expressed confidence that the tasks set by the president will be completed, “improving the quality of life of Russians.”

Earlier, during his address to the Federal Assembly, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that by 2030 the minimum wage should almost double again - to 35 thousand rubles.
