Biden and Trump on the US-Mexico border: the fight against immigration, a promising electoral theme

In the United States, the two main candidates for the presidential election in November 2024 meet at the same time in Texas, on the border with Mexico.

They will be five hours apart between Eagle Pass and Brownsville, three months after the previous visit for Donald Trump, and a year later for Joe Biden.

Proof that the issue of migration is one of the main issues of the campaign and the primary, Super Tuesday is being held on Tuesday March 5 in Texas.

Joe Biden plans to meet with border guards and local elected officials.

A move to defend bipartisan legislation advanced by the Senate that would increase resources allocated to the border, change legal loopholes exploited by cartels and allow U.S. authorities to close the border when the system is overwhelmed by arrivals.
