The joint press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the Bryansk region reports this.
It was established that the man was recruited to cooperate with the Ukrainian special services in order to collect and transmit information about the deployment of the Russian Armed Forces in the Bryansk region.
The defendant admitted guilt and repented.
“The court sentenced the perpetrator to 12 years of imprisonment in a high-security correctional colony,” the statement said.
Earlier, a Ukrainian agent, detained in Rostov-on-Don while trying to purchase components for the S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, was sentenced to 11.5 years.
