The people of northern Gaza are suffering from starvation in light of the difficulty of delivering aid (social networking sites)

In light of the worsening famine disaster in Gaza, and the people’s scenes and pictures of their daily suffering, bloggers circulated on social media platforms a video clip of a Palestinian family in the northern Gaza Strip, searching for what would satisfy their need for food under the rubble of their house, which was destroyed by the Israeli occupation army.

The scenes of the situation sparked solidarity, on the one hand, with that family and others who share this difficult reality in Gaza, and anger, on the other hand, at the scarcity of aid and the “failure” of the world towards the extremely cruel suffering taking place in the Strip, in light of the occupation imposing a siege on the Strip and starving it. The population is there.

This has been our custom in the North Governorate since the famine, the pilgrimage to the rubble of our house. A group is searching for the two kilos of rice that Musab left behind before he fled to Cairo. A group is searching for the handful of lentils that Muhammad hid before he fled to the South Governorate. A group of which I am the leader is searching for letters. Those books that were crowded in… pic.twitter.com/7GbrXpSjf8

Activists considered that the video scene reveals part of the suffering and famine under the siege and the lack of aid reaching the northern Gaza Strip since the beginning of the war on October 7, calling for action to save people from hunger.

This came after the Palestinian activist and blogger, Hamza Abu Toha, published on his accounts on social media platforms - yesterday, Tuesday - a video clip, showing his family members searching under their demolished house, for some of the food stocks that his mother was storing in her kitchen, while trying to... His mother helped them by removing the dirt from some books extracted from under the rubble.

Abu Toha commented, describing his family’s situation, saying: “This has been our custom in the North Governorate since the famine, the pilgrimage to the rubble of our house, a group searching for the two kilos of rice that Musab left before his displacement to Cairo, and a group searching for the handful of lentils that Muhammad hid before his displacement.” To the South Governorate, and a band of which I am the leader, we are searching for the letters of those books.”

Abu Toha added, “We are looking for the letters of those books that were crowded around the house,” continuing, “As for my mother, she still swears solemnly that she picked the olives and pickled them with oil and pepper in bottles in the right corner of the kitchen. As for my father, he stood alone. For his part, he announced a ceasefire, and began building a small room after collecting the wood and shelves of my library.”

As the blogger, Rima Essam, wrote on her account on the From scraps of wood from the bombed library, and Mama’s bottles of olives.”

Activist Hamza Abu Toha had previously documented, about a week ago, part of the famine in Gaza and his journey to obtain a little meat and rice as a “gift for his wife” who gave birth, saying on the X platform, “We have lived and are still living in northern Gaza in very harsh humanitarian conditions, since the beginning of The Gaza war, especially at a time when my wife was pregnant with our first child until she gave birth 3 days ago.”

And as for the grace of your Lord, tell me, this is God’s provision after five days of searching in the Northern Governorate for some meat for my wife who gave birth to a baby. Today is the week of my son (Ali). I made this dish for my wife as a birth gift. You may see it as a small amount, but these pieces of meat are worth $70. These grains of rice are worth $25. Don’t you think their value is worth it? pic.twitter.com/Wo71PXiub8

Abu Toha explained that he was able to buy that meal, saying, “And as for the grace of your Lord, tell me, this is God’s provision after 5 days of searching in the Northern Governorate for some meat for my wife who gave birth to a child. Today is my son (Ali’s) week. I made this dish for my wife as a birth gift.” He added, “You may think they are few, but these pieces of meat are worth $75, and these grains of rice are $25. Don’t you think their value deserves to be a gift!”
