Suspension of accreditations of Amazon lobbyists in the European Parliament
Amazon lobbyists are no longer welcome in the corridors of the European Parliament.
The administrative services of Parliament decided on Tuesday to withdraw their accreditations for a currently indefinite period.
Decision taken in the face of the tech giant's refusal to come and answer questions from parliamentarians on working conditions in its warehouses located in the EU.

It was the parliamentary committee for Employment and Social Affairs which made the request at the beginning of February.
MEPs cited repeated refusals by Amazon representatives to appear at their hearings.
The company also reportedly canceled a visit to its warehouses in Germany and Poland last December.
False, retorts Amazon, citing logistical challenges linked to the holiday season.
The American company has already reacted on its website.
She says she is disappointed with Parliament's decision.
Its representatives are regulars at the institution;
in January alone, they met with nine MPs, according to the European trade union federation UNI Europa.
The exclusion of Amazon from the premises of Parliament was also demanded by employees of the company, supported by unions and NGOs, as well as by the left and liberals.
It is now done.
On Twitter, Romanian MEP Dragos Pislaru, president of the Social Affairs Committee, welcomes an important step for respecting the voice of European citizens.
“
There can be no cooperation without transparency
,” he writes.
