The Ministry explained that many victims are still under rubble and on the roads, as the occupation prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them.

Al Jazeera's correspondent reported that 5 Palestinians were martyred in an Israeli bombing targeting citizens in the Abu Holi area, south of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, while two were martyred and others were wounded in an Israeli artillery bombardment on homes in the Wadi Gaza area in the central Gaza Strip.

The bodies of 7 martyrs were also held from Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir Al-Balah.

Meanwhile, the hunger crisis is still devastating the people of the besieged Strip, especially in the northern regions. The Ministry of Health announced - yesterday, Tuesday - the death of two infants in Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Strip as a result of drought and malnutrition, while the United Nations warned that a quarter of the population of the Gaza Strip One step away from starvation.

The Ministry stressed that drought and malnutrition will claim the lives of thousands of children and pregnant women in the Gaza Strip.

The Ministry of Health called on international institutions to conduct a comprehensive medical survey in shelters throughout the Gaza Strip to monitor and treat those suffering from dehydration and malnutrition and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe.

Securing humanitarian missions

On the other hand, Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, called on Israel to allow continuous, safe and dignified crossing of humanitarian aid missions into Gaza.

He said - in a blog post on the X platform - that teams from the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the Palestinian Red Crescent arrived at the besieged Al-Amal Hospital in the city of Khan Yunis, south of Gaza, and transferred 24 patients from there to another hospital.

He pointed out that Al-Amal Hospital was subjected to 40 attacks during the period from January 22 to February 22 of this year, which claimed the lives of 25 people and rendered it unusable, stressing that 31 patients are still inside the hospital.

He pointed out that Palestinian Red Crescent employees were subjected to ill-treatment and humiliation when they left Al-Amal Hospital, despite carrying out their duties in light of full coordination and security guarantees.

He stated that 3 members of the health staff were arrested, pointing out the release of one of them, and demanding the release of the other two and other detainees working in the health field.

He added, "We call on Israel to allow continued, safe and dignified passage of humanitarian aid missions into Gaza, and we call for a ceasefire."

The Israeli war on Gaza, since October 7, has resulted in tens of thousands of victims, most of them children and women, according to Palestinian and UN data, which required Israel to appear, for the first time since 1948, before the International Court of Justice, on charges of committing genocide. .
