"Jewish Voice for Peace" organization

The Jewish Voice for Peace (JVPA) organization is a left-wing Jewish group that is hostile to Israel and Zionism and calls for the boycott of Israel and the elimination of Zionism.

Founded in 1996 in San Francisco, the organization has about a dozen chapters on college campuses, where members often work closely with anti-Israel student groups, such as Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP).

The organization's website indicates that it has more than 300,000 supporters and more than a million followers on social media, and it maintains a huge influence and presence in many American universities.

The organization describes itself as “a broad and diverse group of activists in a democratic society,” and its work is inspired by Jewish traditions for peace, social justice, and human rights to support Israeli and Palestinian aspirations for security and self-determination.

It says that it "seeks to end the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem," at a time when critics of the organization believe that it is working to undermine popular support for Israel.

One of the members of the organization's advisory board is the famous thinker Noam Chomsky.
