“If the rights of our delegation are not restored within a year, we can seriously consider the issue of our complete withdrawal from the Council of Europe,” he was quoted as saying by the Azerbaijani state agency AzerTaj.
Aliyev also noted with regret that the press portrays Azerbaijan as a despotic country where people are imprisoned for their opinions and a dictatorship reigns.
“A very negative impression is deliberately created about Azerbaijan,” he emphasized.
Aliyev added that Baku does not plan to attack Armenia; contrary statements are the insinuations of French leader Emmanuel Macron.
