In response, Ambassador Korsunski expressed his ``congratulations'' on the Hungarian parliament's approval on the 26th of Sweden's membership in NATO, which has now been approved by all member states. and congratulated Sweden.



Furthermore, in light of the expansion of member states to 32 countries, he stated, ``I strongly hope that Ukraine will become the 33rd member state in the future.If that happens, Europe will become even safer.'' Japan has renewed its desire to join NATO.



Regarding NATO, President Zelenskiy of Ukraine announced his intention to apply for membership in October, demonstrating his strong opposition to Russia and his stance of opposing it.



Ambassador Korsunsky also stated that he was looking forward to support from Japan, but regarding the reconstruction aspect, he said, ``Japan has unique experience in post-war reconstruction and recovery from disasters. There is no better partner than Japan,'' he said, expressing his expectations for his future role.
