The People's Court Case Database is officially online and open to the public. A total of 3,711 cases have been entered into the database.

　　China News Service, February 27 (Xinhua) The Supreme People's Court held a press conference on February 27 to release the status of the construction of the People's Court case database.

At the meeting, Yang Wanming, Vice President of the Supreme People's Court, introduced that today, the People's Court case database was officially launched online and open to the public.

With the joint efforts of courts across the country and all sectors of society, 3,711 cases have been entered into the People's Court case database.

　　Yang Wanming introduced that the Supreme People's Court conducted in-depth investigations and studies, highlighted problem orientation, and promoted the solution of problems such as unstandardized, untimely, unsystematic, inconsistent, and difficult-to-retrieve case guidance, so as to better meet the diverse judicial needs of all sectors of society and the people, and decided to build a people's Court case library.

　　Deployment started at the end of July 2023, and it lasted seven months from preliminary construction to internal trial operation.

Today, the People's Court case database is officially online and open to the public.

This is an important measure to further improve the case system with Chinese characteristics and is a new "public legal service product" launched by the Supreme People's Court.

　　With the joint efforts of courts across the country and all sectors of society, 3,711 cases have been entered into the People's Court case database.

Among them, there were 1,453 criminal cases, accounting for 39.15%; 1,643 civil cases, accounting for 44.27%; 405 administrative cases, accounting for 10.91%; 23 state compensation cases, accounting for 0.62%; and enforcement cases. 187 items, accounting for 5.04%.
