Regarding this issue, the ruling and opposition parties are coordinating to hold a House of Representatives Committee on Political Ethics on the 28th and 29th, in response to proposals from former Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno of the Liberal Democratic Party and five former secretaries general of the Abe and Nikai factions. However, while the opposition parties are demanding that the meeting be held in public, the Liberal Democratic Party has not come to terms with it, proposing a plan that would allow only members of Congress to attend.



For this reason, from the morning of the 27th, Hideki Niwa, a member of the House of Representatives of the Liberal Democratic Party, who is the lead secretary on the ruling party side of the committee, and Manabu Terada, a member of the House of Representatives of the Constitutional Democratic Party, who is the lead secretary on the opposition side, discussed the response.



During this meeting, Mr. Niwa once again proposed the idea of ​​allowing only members of the Diet to observe the meeting, taking into account the wishes of the five members, but Mr. Terada expressed his opinion that he would not be able to comply.



For this reason, the board meeting was not held in the morning.



Meanwhile, the opposition parties reaffirmed their intention to hold discussions and request that the meeting be held in public.
