Israel had rejected the accusations against it in a court session (Anatolia)

Israeli Radio said today that Tel Aviv sent its response to the International Court of Justice regarding the genocide lawsuit filed against it by South Africa, stressing that it did not violate the principles of international law in the Gaza Strip.

Israel confirmed in its report that the Israeli army’s operations in Gaza do not constitute genocide, and that it does not consider these military operations to be within the court’s jurisdiction.

On January 11, South Africa filed a lawsuit before the International Court of Justice ruling Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide and issuing an order forcing it to withdraw its forces.

In a court session, Israel rejected the accusations against it.

In a temporary ruling issued on January 26, the court asked Israel to take measures to prevent genocide in Gaza and direct incitement to it, and to improve the humanitarian situation in the Strip. It also rejected the Israeli request to dismiss the case, but it rejected - in return - South Africa’s request to order Ceasefire.

The court gave Israel one month to submit a detailed report on the measures it has taken in this regard.
