The head of state spoke about this in a video message to participants in the “Knowledge” society award ceremony.

“The key to the country’s future and the continuity of its development is that young people have reliable life guidelines,” the Russian leader emphasized.

Putin added that it is extremely important that young people learn from the best examples of domestic and world culture, literature, achievements of science and education, and also know the history of their country.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin instructed the Ministry of Education, together with the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Labor, to submit proposals for establishing Mentor Day in Russia.
