A controversial photo.

On Sunday, Anne-Yvonne Le Dain, a former socialist MP, published on X (formerly Twitter) a photo of a golden retriever on a train.

In her message, she denounces the fact that the dog is not muzzled by its owner, even though it is obligatory in the SNCF regulations for these species.

A publication which quickly caused Hugo Clément, environmental activist for animal welfare, to react.

The latter explains that the former MP did not communicate with the owner of the dog and did not ask for his consent for the photo.

Madam MP @Ayledain, I just spoke on the phone with the owner of this brave doggie (he is 8 years old and his name is Moogly).

, Anne-Yvonne Le Dain justifies herself and denounces "endangering the lives of others".

"When you buy a ticket with a large dog, it is stipulated that he must wear a muzzle and be on a leash. This was not the case for the muzzle. He was sprawled in the corridor, you had to step over him to come by or ask the gentleman,” she says.

The former MP also recalls that, according to her, 60,000 people are hospitalized each year after being bitten by the house dog.
