In response to the issue surrounding political funding parties held by factions of the Liberal Democratic Party, the ruling and opposition parties discussed how to hold the House of Representatives Committee on Political Ethics, but they were unable to come to an agreement on the pros and cons of making the meeting public, and the decision was made to continue discussions.

In this issue, former Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Shioya, who served as the secretary-general of the Abe faction, former Chief Cabinet Secretary Matsuno, former Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Nishimura, former head of the National Assembly Committee on Countermeasures Takagi, and former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Takeda, who served as the secretary-general of the Nikai faction. A total of five people have requested review by the House of Representatives Committee on Political Ethics.

The review committee discussed future responses at the executive committee meeting on the 26th.

Regarding the nature of the review committee, the Liberal Democratic Party proposed that it should be held in private as a general rule, based on the wishes of the five members.

However, the opposition parties did not agree, arguing that ``it is necessary to be accountable directly to the people, and it should be done publicly.''

For this reason, an official agreement was not reached to hold the event on the 28th and 29th, which had been arranged by the ruling and opposition parties, and it was decided that discussions would continue.

After this, Liberal Democratic Party member Hideki Niwa, who is the lead secretary on the ruling party side, proposed to Manabu Terada, a member of the House of Representatives of the Constitutional Democratic Party, who is the lead secretary on the opposition side, that only members of the House of Representatives would be allowed to observe the hearing, but no agreement was reached. It didn't reach that point.

The ruling and opposition parties will hold another executive meeting on the 27th to discuss the pros and cons of making the film public.
