  When the hydrogen buses are initially put into service, they will serve Citybus Route 20 Waterloo Road, running from Kai Tak (Moon Street) to Cheung Sha Wan (Hai Tat Estate). Currently, they provide 6 to 8 departures every day for about one month. .

Citybus general manager of operations Ma Zhanwei said that Citybus's first hydrogen refueling station is located at the West Kowloon depot, and hydrogen buses cannot pass through tunnels, so they will initially use the Kowloon route.

Citybus will set up hydrogen refueling stations on Hong Kong Island later this year and hopes to expand hydrogen buses to other areas.

  Citybus stated that hydrogen buses currently serve Sham Shui Po, Yau Tsim Mong and Kowloon City. In the next phase, they will be arranged to run Route 22M and Route 20A Nathan Road. Each route will run for about one month to collect data under different environments. Analyze operational data, including traffic conditions, weather, battery life, etc.

They hoped that the hydrogen bus service could be expanded to Hong Kong Island and Tuen Mun and other areas. It will serve all districts in Hong Kong by the end of this year.

  Citybus plans to introduce more mass-produced hydrogen buses and electric buses for testing this year, and then adjust the proportion of new energy buses purchased in the future.
