Mr. Zhou Ting, a Hong Kong democracy activist currently living in Canada, posted a video on the internet on the night of the 26th, Japan time, showing that he is still alive and well even after being wanted by the police.

Mr. Zhou Ting, a Hong Kong democracy activist known for his fluent Japanese, is currently residing in Toronto, Canada, but last December, he turned himself in to the Hong Kong police on the scheduled day. He is wanted because he did not.

On the night of the 26th, Japan time, Mr. Chou posted a 23-minute video titled ``My Days in Prison.'' on the Internet video posting site YouTube.

The video, which was posted for the first time in about three years and has Japanese subtitles, talks about how she worked while in prison sewing pajamas for inmates, and how she spent her time reading novels by Japanese authors. I am looking back on what happened back then.

Mr. Chou had been arrested under the Hong Kong National Security Law before being imprisoned, and said, ``I was always afraid of being indicted while in prison and not being able to get out.''

He concludes by saying, ``I don't think the freedom I have now to be able to talk about myself in front of a camera is something I can take for granted.''

In his video, Mr. Chou said that he would like to continue to communicate about his life and thoughts, and is an attempt to show that he is still alive and well even after being wanted by the police.
