China News Service, February 26 (Xinhua) According to comprehensive foreign media reports, on the 26th local time, the Danish police announced the suspension of the investigation into the "Nord Stream" natural gas pipeline explosion.

At the same time, the Copenhagen police and the Danish Defense Intelligence Agency determined that the "Nord Stream" pipeline explosion was caused by man-made sabotage.

In response, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov responded, "This situation is almost absurd."

  According to Agence France-Presse, the Copenhagen police said in a statement that day, "Based on the investigation, the (Danish) authorities can conclude that the 'Nord Stream' pipeline was deliberately damaged... but the current (our) assessment is that there is not enough This was the basis for a criminal prosecution in Denmark and the police therefore decided to close the investigation."

  On February 7, local time, Swedish prosecutors stated that because "Swedish jurisdiction does not apply", they decided to abandon the investigation into the "Nord Stream" natural gas pipeline explosion and handed over the evidence found during the investigation to German investigators.

  According to previous reports, in September 2022, the "Nord Stream" pipeline that transported natural gas from Russia to Germany and other European countries via the Baltic Sea exploded and leaked.

All parties generally believe that this incident was a "deliberate sabotage".

Days later, Denmark, Sweden and Germany each launched independent investigations.

The US government denies this.
