South African Ambassador to Russia Mzuvukile Jeff Maketuka stated this in an interview with TASS.
“When I talk to my colleagues from the EU, I can assure you that everyone recognizes that some kind of compromise will be necessary,” the diplomat said.
At the same time, he noted that if Vladimir Zelensky agrees to negotiations with Russian President Vladimir Putin, this will be a “worthy step.”
Earlier, adviser to the head of Zelensky’s office, Mikhail Podolyak, said that many voices have begun to be heard in European countries calling on Ukraine to negotiate with Russia.
Argentina also called on the parties to the conflict in Ukraine for dialogue and de-escalation.
