After the boos and the demonstrations which degenerated, the Agricultural Show returned to its usual atmosphere this Monday in Paris.

The farmers got up early this Monday morning to prepare for the general agricultural competition, but also to be able to interact with the politicians who will wander the aisles during the day.

The calm after the storm.

After the boos and the demonstrations which degenerated, the Agricultural Show returned to its usual atmosphere this Monday morning in Paris.

The farmers arrived early in order to prepare for the general agricultural competition, far from the political concerns omnipresent in the sector.

Manon, 19 years old, farmer, does not take her eyes off Rockstar on her brown dairy cow which in 1h30 will take part in the first competition of the day.

“We stay behind and as soon as she defecates, we remove the dung directly with the fork so that it doesn't get dirty. We also have to check the milk she has in her udders, so that the judge sees them full. The primary quality of Rockstar is precisely the udder. You must not stress, she feels it afterwards and it doesn't work", the breeder explains on the microphone of Europe 1.

The competition promises to be tough with only one chance in sixteen of winning the gold medal.

Farmers who want to meet politicians

Sunday evening, the Prime Minister, Gabriel Attal, declared that the Salon was not "a media circus".

A direct attack on Jordan Bardella who was received very warmly by the farmers who asked to meet the politicians.

La France insoumise, the Socialist Party and Renaissance are expected this Monday on the green model of the show.

Everyone will receive the same request from Alain, 51 years old: “Remunerative prices. We are dairy farmers and the only thing that will save us is a price. A few cents on a liter of milk has an impact huge".

Dairy producers will demonstrate from 10 a.m. in front of the Salon at the Porte de Versailles.
