Every morning, Jean Zeid delivers the best in terms of innovation.

This Monday, he is interested in the “Vigoz”, a concept from the company CIXI, a vehicle between the car and the bicycle.

This Monday morning, we are interested in transport with a vehicle that is surprising to say the least.

Surprising because this vehicle is a mix between a car and a bicycle.

The concept is signed by the company CIXI, it has been installed in Haute-Savoie, near Annecy since 2016. The "Vigoz" is what we call an active vehicle, meaning that even if it has a electric assistance, the energy of the human body is necessary for movement.

And how fast can this active vehicle reach?

The “Vigoz” can reach 120 km/h and all that while pedaling, please.

The rider's pedaling power determines the speed.

The car is equipped with an electronic pedal without chain or belt.

To reach the desired speed, simply adjust the pedaling power.

No gears to shift to drive faster, you can focus on the road, gear changes are managed automatically.

Does this mean it can be driven on the highway?

Yes, it is approved for driving on the motorway, although I must admit that I have never come across anyone pedaling a Vigoz on the A1 or the A8.

And even though the electric motor is powered by a 15 kilowatt-hour battery, the range is only 100 miles, making it more of a city car.

And what does this car look like?

In terms of design, this vehicle has two wheels at the front, one wheel at the back, it is the size of an unlicensed car with two seats inside and a rather futuristic look.

The roof is glass and there is even air conditioning on board for those who cycle more than necessary and need a little bit of cool down.

A small trunk is available for the travel bag, shopping, or a passenger.

And another detail, there is no steering wheel in the Vigoz.

Instead, there are two sleeves on either side of the driver's seat.

Two handles that allow the Vigoz to lean in turns and turn.

And its price?

The price is not yet known, the economic model, yes.

It will be a subscription model which should be marketed in 2026 with the aim of offering city dwellers a credible alternative to the car.

A less far-fetched hypothesis than it seems.
