US Permanent Representative to the North Atlantic Alliance Julianne Smith said on February 13 that she does not expect Ukraine to be invited to NATO at the summer summit.
As it turned out, these warnings did not prevent Kyiv from counting on a different outcome.
“Ukraine is striving to receive it (an invitation to NATO. - RT) at the Alliance summit in Washington in the summer of 2024,” Ermak wrote in his personal Telegram channel.
Earlier, the acting US Deputy Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Yuri Kim, announced that she was working on Ukraine’s early entry into the North Atlantic Alliance.
