The leader of the armed Iraqi Al-Nujaba Movement (one of the Islamic Resistance factions in Iraq) Akram Al-Kaabi confirmed that the Iraqi resistance “continues to liberate the country and target the occupied Zionist sites,” stressing that he will not abandon Palestine.

Al-Kaabi added - in a statement by his movement, which is close to Iran and active in Iraq and Syria - “We believe in the unity of the arenas and that we are an essential part in the battle to confront the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and its support for evil America,” indicating that the battle is open with what he described as the American occupation.

Al-Kaabi considered that the current calm is only a temporary tactic for the resistance to reposition and spread, especially after some of those he described as traitors and agents gave information about the resistance and its locations to the occupier (referring to the Americans).

Al-Kaabi also pointed out that even if the Islamic Resistance did not reject the government’s negotiations to announce the schedule of the American withdrawal from Iraq, it confirms that “the American occupier is a liar, a deceiver, and an arrogant one, and he who thinks that he will submit and withdraw from Iraq through negotiation is delusional.”

He expressed his keenness to protect and distance the Popular Mobilization Forces from American attacks, which he said "indicate the stupidity and confusion of the occupier."

It is noteworthy that the United States of America still maintains about 2,500 soldiers in Iraq as part of a permanent security agreement signed with this country, within the framework of the international coalition against ISIS.

The operations carried out by what is known as the "Islamic Resistance in Iraq", which targeted American forces in Iraq and Syria, escalated in the recent period with the continuation of the war launched by Israel on the Gaza Strip, before the pace of these operations decreased in recent weeks after American attacks on dozens of targets in Iraq. In response to the killing of 3 American soldiers and the wounding of about 40 others as a result of a drone attack targeting a United States base in Jordan.
