International newspapers covered developments in the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, stressing that it increases the status of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) globally, noting that the United States of America is the most capable of forcing Israel to stop continuing its plans, especially with regard to the invasion of Rafah.

An editorial in the New York Times confirmed that the war in its current form "leads to the mass killing of Palestinians, keeps the hostages (prisoners) trapped, and strengthens Hamas's position around the world."

The newspaper said that the United States must change this situation, and "President Joe Biden must make clear to the Israelis that continuing the war indefinitely may lead to the emergence of more militants like Hamas and may turn more Americans against Israel."

Attempts to prevent the Rafah attack

In turn, the British newspaper "The Telegraph" published a report in which it said that Tel Aviv's allies are intensifying their efforts to prevent a possible Israeli attack on the city of Rafah, noting that there is talk about banning the supply of weapons to Israel.

The report said that Britain is considering suspending the supply of weapons to Israel if it launches an attack on Rafah, stressing that Washington is best able to persuade Tel Aviv to abandon its plans given the amount of military and financial support it provides to it.

In this context, the "Times of Israel" website said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's post-war plan was met with American lukewarmness, referring to what US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Washington was very clear with Israel about its post-war vision.

The website said that Israel's plans directly contradict what the Biden administration and the international community want as well, while the "Axios" website addressed the American warning about the security vacuum that Israel's targeting of Hamas police might create, and the resulting humanitarian crisis.

In conclusion, The Washington Post shed light on the reality of doctors in Gaza, and quoted one of the anesthesiologists at the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis that doctors in light of the war face arrest, killing, or displacement.

The doctor said that after Israeli forces enter health institutions, doctors become their direct target and are exposed to violations, humiliation, and accusations.
